On the 18th May, Hawkeye Falconry UK attended the Hilldrop Event in aid of Sightsavers. Sightsavers works to combat blindness in developing countries, restoring sight through specialist treatment and eye care. They also support people who are irreversibly blind by providing education, counselling and training. They help the people who need it most – those living in poverty in some of the world’s poorest countries.

We were very kindly sent a letter from the senior manager at Sightsavers – Samantha Price, following our donations to the charity:

“… on behalf of Sightsavers I would like to begin by offering our sincere appreciation for your generous support of the Hilldrop event in aid of Sightsavers on the 18th May.

I’m sorry that we didn’t get to meet personally, but your kind contribution of two auction prizes raised over £300 (later being raised to £500) for Sightsavers which will help us change the lives of some of the most disadvantaged people in the world. This is very generous of you and having spoken to the lucky auction winners, I know that they are both very much looking forward to meeting your birds of prey.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can help with or if you would like any further information about the event or about Sightsavers.

Many thanks again for your support

Kind Regards

Sam”
